What do I need to provide APR in order to receive pricing on a custom part?

Please email us full technical and material specifications, quantities required, and any special requirements such as Level III PPAP documentation or REACH compliance.

What file formats does APR require for part specifications?

If available, please send drawings and specifications in both image (PDF) and CAD (IGES, DWG or STEP) formats. Our system also supports JPEG and TIFF image files.

What is the lead time on custom parts?

Lead times vary according the nature and complexity of the part. When we quote pricing on your custom part, we will specify approximate lead times. In general, we provide first article samples within 5 to 6 weeks of receipt of your tooling purchase order. Once sample approval is received, production lead times are approximately 10 to 14 weeks.

Do you actually manufacture parts?

APR does not own any manufacturing facilities. All of our components are sub-contracted to qualified suppliers whose operations we closely monitor.

Do you only sell parts made overseas?

Although the majority of our components are made in Asia, we source from a number of locations around the globe, including the U.S.

Are you capable of shipping anywhere in the world?

Yes. We currently ship to customers in Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Mexico, and the U.S. The majority of our customers are located in North America.

Are you ISO certified?

Yes, APR is ISO 9001:2008 Certified. We are in the process of becoming ISO 9001:2015 Certified.

Do you provide ROHS/REACH compliant parts?

Yes. We are capable of providing parts compliant to European Union ROHS/REACH requirements.

Do you make military parts?

While some of our standard parts conform to military specifications, we do not currently provide components specifically intended for military applications.

Is there a minimum order buy?

Minimum order quantity is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Do you take credit cards?

We do not accept credit card payment. We accept company checks, ACH and EFT payments, and wire transfers.

How do I get set up as a customer?

After we receive your purchase order, a designated APR account manager will guide you through the new customer process.
